On the Stairs of the Bomfim Church

The Igreja do Senhor do Bomfim (Church of the Lord of the Good End) is a symbol of the unification between the Catholic Church and the African Belief, the Candomblé.

Every year there the celebration of the unification of both beliefs. The so called "wash of the stairs of the church" brings the saints and goods of the black and white, slaves and colonizers, poor and rich, together.

Cheers!
