Up! on the Sugar loaf (pão de açúcar)

Next morning we walked to the the central bus station and took the bus to the Urca neighborhood to get to the sugar loaf.

53R$ costed the drive up the hill with the cable car.

On the Corcovado hill: the Christ's statue

From Urca we took the bus to the Cosme Velho, the neighborhood from Rio de Janeiro, where we got the tram uphill to the Corcovado.

By the way, one single bus ticket costs 2,95R$ (approx. 1,0€).

We booked the tickets previously by Internet. Each ticket costed 48R$.

The tram took 25 min. to reach the top of  the hill, which stays at more than 700m above the sea level.

The sugar loaf is pretty much clear by such a propitious weather.
